Antike Aufschnittmaschine Berkel Model 21 (1948-1956)

The Berkel slicer Model 21 is evolution of Model 8. The original Model 21 is very similar of Model 8 and change for little differences, for example the scroll bar cart is oval and not round.
The Model 21 was produced only for the italian market.

This machine features cart equipped with helicoidal screw, and comb system fixed with spring similar to model 9.

The drive is manual by means of flywheel, blade sharpener and cap are placed in the side, adjacent to the blade having size 370 mm .

Model 21 was produced by Berkel during the forties and fifties, from 1948 to 1956 .

The proposed model has been professionally restored with complete disassembling, sanding (very important for the quality and duration of the finishing) and subsequent polishing and chromium-plating, and replacing of worn out parts and mechanisms such as foot, blade, and ham’s support plate which would have compromised the proper functioning of the machine. Existing part’s movements and tolerances have been adjusted. Final kiln varnishing and decoration with repositioning of new labels. ( The final varnishing can be made in accordance to customer’s request. Recently, upon specific customer’s request, some models have been restored in black, green or cream color)
