Antike Aufschnittmaschine Berkel Model 21 (1948-1956)
The
Berkel slicer Model 21 is evolutionof Model 8.
Theoriginal Model 21 is very similarof Model
8 and change for little differences, for
example the scroll bar cart isoval and not round.
This
machine features cart equipped with helicoidal screw, and comb system fixed with
spring similar to model 9. The
drive is manual by meansof flywheel, blade sharpener and cap are placed in the
side, adjacent to the blade having size 370 mm . The
proposed model has been professionally
restored with complete disassembling, sanding (very
important for the quality and durationof the finishing) and subsequent
polishing and chromium-plating, and replacingof wornout parts and mechanisms
such as foot, blade, and ham’s support plate which would have compromised the
proper functioningof the machine. Existing part’s movements and tolerances
have been adjusted. Final kiln varnishing and decoration with repositioningof
new labels. ( The final varnishing can be made in accordance to customer’s
request. Recently, upon specific customer’s request, some models have been
restored in black, greenor cream color)
